Underground Art

I like stories like this alot. Here's a collection of 1950's posters uncovered at Notting Hill tube station during recent renovation work. The colours are still really bright and vivid, and of course the artwork is brilliant. My view on these is similar to Gaw's views on CGI in films -the strong hand-drawn graphic style of these posters seems so much warmer and better than todays clean and boring photoshop stuff.

"you'll wonder where the yellow went" - what a horrible slogan!
