The Delicious Miss Dahl

Just watched the TV show. Very disappointed to see it was just the usual lifestyle-porn-by-numbers that we've all seen a hundred times before. I couldn't see how it differed in any way from Nigella. The usual cynical female fantasy stuff of shopping in Notting Hill and having effortless makeup and wonderfully casual flower arrangements. Pretty sure the kitchen was a set too. My claim to Sophie Dahl fame is that aged 19 I once worked as the assistant to the stylist on a naked photo shoot of Miss Dahl soon after she shot to fame. My job mostly entailed holding her dressing gown in between takes. It was tough, but I held in there and delivered a sterling performance.

Is that what Opium does to you?? I'll ask the wife if she can sneak some out from her hospital's pharmacy. Well done on the dressing gown! :-)

Did you do anything that wasn't totally hedonistic in your younger years (I mean, even your work was)? I ask because I'm extremely jealous.

that was indeed a good job, a few months working as fashion assistant for Arena men's magazine - but I had quite a few other, very hedonistic and amusing jobs along the way too. I'm just saving up telling you about them till a later date

Was your dressing gown styling stint back in the days when Ms Dahl was a little more womanly? She'd better not nibble up too much of the culinary fare on offer in her shows... I fear for poor little bird like Jamie.

yes susan she was definately quite large and curvaceous!!! I hear the Cullum looks more like a gollum when he's standing next to her
