...not saying I liked many of them (I HATED the Levellers), just that I can imagine plenty of kids who are 20 now who were 5 or 6 at the time and wouldn't know anything about this stuff. I'm sure Ned's Atomic Dustbin must be due a comeback by now

worm said...: yes I think Nirvana are in the 'proper classic' category and as such can never now go out of fashion -they play 'smells like teen spirit' on radio one all the time (although none of their other tracks for some reason)

Supergrass were great, I met them once at a photoshoot as they were launching their first album and they were pretty wild!!

yeah strokes was only a "couple" of years ago (nearly 9 now) but do you think a 20 year old would know anything about them? They would have been 11 at the time their big album hit the conciousness of twenty and 30 somethings, and they're hardly in the spotlight...; 3 November 2009 at 07:40
