In the New York Times today is a photo-article about a lady in California who has planted her garden with ornamental poisonous plants. I like darkly gothic things like that, although it's probably safe to assume that she doesn't have children.

The renowned gardens at Barnsley House have this incredible laburnam arch, which must be about 20' long. Walking through it this time of year in the sunshine, you're walking through a luminous otherworldly golden light. The fact that it's deadly poisonous adds a bit of spice to the experience
